Adding Value through Knowledge
Technological innovation is fundamental to increasing productivity and leads to an expanded participation in internal and external markets and a heightening of global competitiveness. In a company, innovating is not restricted to carrying out research and development activities but is more the result of applying knowledge so as to aggregate value to operations. This happens when there are changes, not only in the production processes and methods but also in commercializing, management, logistics, and business strategy, all factors that impinge on competitive capacity.
CNI defends the position that action be taken to accelerate the technological development of Brazilian industry with a focus on the country's growth. In the document entitled Innovate to Grow (Inovar para Crescer), the Confederation supports the idea of capacity building in innovation for companies and corporations, urges the implantation of a regulatory framework for fostering industrial and technological development and stimulating the broadening of access to innovation mechanisms through financing and subsidies. |
