Strengthening the industrial sector is one of CNI's major commitments. The Confederation runs services that guide industry´s actions, with a focus on the sector competitiveness  and the  country´s growth.

One of the services that should be highlighted is the support provided to micro and small-sized companies which make up 95% of all Brazilian industries. Technological and entrepreneurial capacity building, management modernization and labor force qualification are just some of the main services that CNI offers to this segment.  Aimed at small businesses, the Confederation develops the Procompi, a program that provides support for the competitiveness of micro and small-sized industries with a strategic focus on Local Productive Arrangements (APLs).

CNI also supports the internationalization of Brazilian products in general, as a way of increasing the country´s economic growth. Through the intermediation of the Brazilian Network of International Business Centers (CIN network), the confederation promotes international missions, technical cooperation and capacity building activities, as well as business round tables with foreign companies, all aimed at promoting the insertion of Brazilian products abroad.
