This collegiate body has a consultancy role before CNI´s administration and participates in the formulation of strategies concerning matters of interest to industry and the Brazilian economy. Founded in 2004, it is made up of:
 
•    50 presidents of the major national sectoral associations;
•    Presidents of CNI's Standing Thematic Committees;
•   Seven members chosen by CNI´s President who might be: president of Federations of Industries; or member of the Council of Representatives or from CNI´s directorate; and members of the National Industrial Development Committee (CNDI).

One of the National Industry Forum's greatest achievements has been the elaboration of the Industry Strategic Map for the period 2007 to 2015 which was undertaken in 2005.
