The CNI promotes the CNI Economics Award to stimulate high quality economic research on the Brazilian industry and publicize themes that are relevant for sector growth. The initiative is aimed at broadening the discussion on possible pathways for the country's development.

The Award joins the institutional support of the National Association of Centers for Post-graduation in Economics - ANPEC and of the ECONOMIA magazine, and each year it will highlight the best articles on Industrial Economics, as well as articles on a selected theme which will vary from year to year.

CNI Economics Award will be made for the best article in two categories: industrial economics and a special theme that will be selected for each edition of the Awards and will focus on the objectives and programs of the Industry Strategic Map.

The Awards will be made at a special ceremony during the National Economics Meeting that ANPEC organizes every year. The works of individuals or groups, unpublished in the press, internet, in book form or in magazines are eligible for the CNI Economics Award.
